Lafarge Gypsum up for sale, including Silver Grove plant

Lafarge, the French-based construction materials group that operates a gypsum drywall plant in Silver Grove, Ky., has placed the entire global business unit on the block, according to this report in the Financial Times.
The article says the North American business accounts for 13 percent of Lafarge?s total gypsum sales but has been losing money in recent years. Its Silver Grove plant along the Ohio River was the largest drywall manufacturing facility in the world when it opened in 2000.
